Lance Leaf Coreopsis is a beautiful native flower that with big blooms the first year it’s planted, unlike many natives that take 2 years to bloom. It also has a long bloom period, blooming for several months in summer. It is often short-lived, dying out after a few years, but it spreads readily by seed to persist in gardens. It has big yellow flowers that complement orange or pink summer blooming flowers such as Butterfly Milkweed and the Coneflowers.
