Hoary Vervain is a short blue flower that can often be seen growing in gravel field driveways. It’s a great wildflower for gardens because it blooms prolifically the first couple of years when other plants are just getting established. It is an important nectar source for butterflies and pollinators. Hoary Vervain plugs enjoy dry soils and thrives in sunny gardens, producing long, colorful flower spikes. It can be short-lived, but will re-seed in gardens with open space.
