Grey Goldenrod (Solidago nemoralis) 12-pack of plugs
Can be shipped.
What are plugs? Plugs are plants grown in 72-cell trays; each soil plug is 1.6” wide x 3.2” deep. Read more here.
Grey Goldenrod is, in our opinion, the best native goldenrod for pollinator gardens. Unlike the other goldenrods that have a tendency to grow tall and spread, this shorter goldenrod usually stays in place.
Grey Goldenrod has bright yellow blooms and is a good companion to the pink flowered Blazing Stars, which bloom at the same time. In late summer, it gets covered with bees, providing a valuable source of pollen and nectar after the main summer flush of wildflowers are done blooming. Because it doesn’t spread much, it’s a lot safer the to plant a dozen Grey Goldenrod plugs in a garden than it is other goldenrods.
