Can be shipped.
What are plugs? Plugs are plants grown in 72-cell trays; each soil plug is 1.6” wide x 3.2” deep. Read more here.
Bradbury’s Monarda is a fantastic addition to any garden, sun or shade. It is a very multi-talented plant, with beautiful pink flowers and wonderful purplish-green foliage. It blooms in early summer, providing nectar to hungry bumblebees during a critical time. We can’t express how much we love this plant!
Bradbury’s Monarda is very short and spreads slowly, making it perfect for garden borders. The foliage of Bradbury’s Monarda is attractive on its own, having deep green leaves with shades of maroon and purple in spring and fall. The pretty pink flowers turn into interesting round balls after blooming, providing year-round texture and interest. This is a staple in many of our garden designs. It’s a versatile plant, handling sun or shade, which makes it easy to find a place for.

Design Tips
Short enough for borders. Bradbury’s Monarda (Monarda bradburiana) looks great when planted among short grasses such as Prairie Dropseed because it blooms before the grasses grow tall.
Maintenance Tips
Although Bradbury’s Monarda spreads by underground rhizomes, it isn’t a tough enough plant to outcompete other natives or spread too aggressively. However, the rhizomes are shallow and you can pull them out if it’s creeping where you don’t want it.
Companion Plants
Nodding Onion
Butterfly Milkweed
Prairie Phlox
Star Sedge
Jacob's Ladder
