Sweet Grass is a colony-forming native grass that forms a thick groundcover. It spreads underground and out-competes many native plants—be very careful where you plant it. It probably isn’t suitable for smaller urban gardens. Instead, plant it in restorations, or in a pot on concrete where it has no chance of spreading out the bottom into soil below.
